The Cooking Pastor

Many of you know that I love to cook. My Mama taught me to cook just about everything when I was a boy. And I was always in the kitchen at Grandma's house. I have a genuine love for food that I have to manage or I'll be the 300 Pound Pastor rather than The Cooking Pastor.

I make cakes more than anything. Cake number two of the four I'm baking is in the oven now. Three of the four cakes will be pound cakes that we'll give as gifts over the next few days. The fourth is a Double Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake that is amazing. It's a Paula Deen recipe and has a lot of butter in it --- no surprise if you watch Paula Deen.

I've also got to make some twice baked potatoes for a dinner we're going to this afternoon. It's going to be a really good day.
