Mission: Cuba --- Last Post for Awhile

We're off to Atlanta Thursday afternoon and then to Havana, Cuba, early on Friday. I am so ready for this mission trip. It could not come at a better time in life. Things have been so crazy lately. I need a break. Pray this is a refreshing time for me personally!

This is my fourth trip in the past 18 months. The Lord has blessed me and our church with this ongoing mission to Cuba. About half of the people on our team are first-timers. That's always a lot of fun. My daughter Claire is so excited about going back that I don't think she's slept the last few nights!

Internet access is restricted in Cuba so I will not be able to post or update while we are away. We will be gone through Friday night, March 28. I hope to be home and give you a trip summary on Saturday, March 29. And, our team will be sharing in the Sunday, March 30 service at Capstone. So make sure you are there.

The following is our itinerary. We covet your prayers. If you have a minute, check back each day and pray over that day's schedule. Pray for health, safety, and effectiveness as we go. Thanks and I love you all for caring!

Friday, 3/21: Fly from Atlanta at 7:00 am through Miami and arrive in Havana at 2:05 pm. Pray as we go through Cuban customs, settle into our accommodations, and get acquainted with Pastor Eduardo and his church in the evening.

Saturday, 3/22: Pray for the children and youth events including Bible stories, testimonies, games, crafts, and baseball ministry. We will prayer walk in Old Havana and purchase materials for the construction project. Youth service and party in the evening.

Sunday, 3/23 – EASTER SUNDAY! Pray as we worship with the Cubans in their house churches, and as we preach, share testimonies, music and baptism. In the afternoon, we will visit the Christ of Havana monument and pray over the city. The day will conclude with an Easter celebration and communion service in Alamar with the house churches.

Monday, 3/24: Pray as we travel to the Province of Pinar del Rio. We will pray for and witness to the Cuban people as we travel.
