I started the day with one plan. God had another. My schedule was wide open. God's was busy:
- Staff stuff in the morning.
- Church member stops by to tell me I'm needed at the Hospice House at 3:30 pm.
- Lunch with friend.
- Car won't start after lunch so I have no vehicle to get to new crisis with church member.
- Take David's car to be with church member.
- Other church member calls to cancel 3:30 appointment at Hospice House. Good since I have no car.
- Back to office to jump start car in 100 degree heat. Not gonna happen.
- Take David's car to Wal-Mart to get new battery.
- Back to parking lot to switch batteries.
- David and I can't get screw out that's holding battery in. Off to hardware store for new tool.
- Get back to parking lot and Mike's there trying to get the old battery out.
- David and Mike replace the old with the new.
- Car starts --- praise God!
Thank the Lord for friends who are willing to serve (and who are mechanical...which I am not!!!) and for His plans that are far greater than mine! (I wonder if He knows that I still need to get done what I was going to do today??? Or, did I get done what I was supposed to do and that's the point of it all???) I can't wait to see what's next!
