Thursdays

Thursdays are always interesting days for me. I try and spend the day totally focused on writing my sermon and bringing all the praying and thinking and studying together into its final form. If you've never prepared a sermon (which I'm guessing most of you haven't), it can be a challenging process. I do my best to listen to and follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit as I write and think it all through. Sometimes it flows. Other times it's slow. Either way, by late Thursday afternoon, I'm always mentally fried.

Today was a good day in the Word and I'm really excited about Sunday's message. This is our third (and last) Sunday in Romans 8. I've been teaching verse by verse and have enjoyed the change in style and the in-depth study time I've had on this one chapter. Feedback from the church has been really good as well. The Lord has been teaching me about my true identity for most of the last year and I've enjoyed teaching out of my personal learning.

If you'll be at Capstone this Sunday (which I hope you will if you're close by), take some time and read Romans 8:31-39 beforehand. We'll worship and learn together this Sunday!

Thanks to all of you who pray for me regularly. I need it more than you know.
