Amazed

I love being amazed at the awesome things God does!

Today was "Catch-Up" Day at Capstone. We decided to challenge the church to catch-up on tithes they had missed during the summer or give a special offering to help offset our giving being down. We've never done anything like this but felt the Lord leading the way. So last Sunday we gave everyone a small packet of ketchup to remind them about "catch-up" Sunday today.

I told the church last week that we had never had a Sunday where the offering was over $10,000 (we average $5,000 to $6,000 per week). So our goal for today was to surpass the $10,000 mark. We prayed and people gave and today's offering was over $11,300 with two people saying they forgot their checks. So, we'll probably surpass $12,000 by the time the final accounting is done on Tuesday.

Isn't God amazing? He consistently makes Himself known to us in BIG ways and SMALL blessings. I'm thankful for how great He is. I'm thankful to be part of such an awesome church and amazing people.

Let's give Him thanks and praise because He is worthy!
