Sunday Night Randomness

  • I haven't blogged much this week. Not sure if it's been that I've been really busy or didn't have much to say or a combination of both.
  • Today was one of those interesting days at church. Crowd seemed off in size and their level of engagement. Music team had MAJOR sound issues. But after it was all over, I had many people talk about the power of the message and service. That's all GOD folks, no doubt.
  • iShare is going to be amazing. There's a big buzz and everybody was buying iShare t-shirts.
  • Claire has been driving just about every day this week and is doing really great.
  • Carolina is ranked #11 after the win against Miss. State yesterday. Go cocks!
  • Had a great time at lunch today after church. We went to eat with Craig and Terri and ended up with them, Tim & Kathy, David & Christi and their kids, and the Treffeisens. I was sitting there thinking how great it is that I get to go to church with such amazing people.
  • Had a great day in Columbia Saturday visiting with Von's folks. They are two of the most amazing people in my life. Von's mom went on and on about what the Lord is teaching her and how much she is growing spiritually --- at 81! Isn't that cool?
  • Our church has people on mission trips in the Ukraine and Alaska today and a team going to Cuba at the end of October. I think that's amazing for a young church like ours!
  • Grease is still the word.
  • What am I going to make for the dessert cook-off at the church? I'm actually thinking about making a cake tomorrow. I've cut out the sweets for the past month and I am DYING for something really good.
  • Did I mention Carolina is #11?
  • We have great servants at the church --- they set it up, make it great, and then take it down and do it all again the next week. THE BEST in Anderson are at Capstone!
  • I'm tired. So, that's it for tonight. Thanks for stopping by.
